Remembering Erby WalkerErby Walker 1937-2008Everybody's favorite counterman at The Varsity has passed away at the age of 70. Beloved husband of 41 years to the late Maggie K. Dixon Walker. Father of 12, grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 7. Brother to 9 siblings, brother-in-law to many. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many more friends and loved ones. Erby was an avid hunter, fisherman, and best known as the "What'll Ya Have" man at The Varsity for over 55 years. The "Unofficial Ambassador" of Atlanta was loved by all and will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 27th - 1:00 p.m. at St Paul AME Church, 1540 Pryor Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30315. Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Bess SR., Pastor (404) 622-9711. Family Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th at 7:00 p.m. at Herschel Thornton Mortuary 3346 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (404) 691-4685.
